Kati Vasti Treatment


Vasthi is one of the most effective ayurvedic panchakarma treatments which helps to detox the body with a medically administered decoction through the rectum, more commonly known as an enema induced through herbal oils or decoctions. This procedure involves the passage of warm medicated oils through the anus or vaginal canal and is highly beneficial to the body. The Vasthi treatment enables the expelling of body toxins and vitiated doshas to detoxify the body naturally.

Shiro vasthi is an intense and unique ayurveda therapy that involves pouring and retaining therapeutic oils on the head for a set amount of time while wearing a lengthy cap or bandage. A long strap of cloth, smeared with the paste of blackgram flour is tied round the head, lower end reaching upto ears. The medicated oil congenial to specific diseased condition is selected, slightly warmed and poured into the vasthi cap.
